“Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated,” Rock tweeted.
Rock did not reveal if he was vaccinated at the time of his infection.
The delta variant has caused a surge in coronavirus cases in the country — primarily among the unvaccinated — as President Joe Biden and other officials weigh new vaccine mandates and other regulations to boost vaccination rates.
About 55% of the U.S. population was fully vaccinated against the deadly virus as of Friday, Sept. 17, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
