Wilmington police are investigating an armed robbery that left one man in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A man was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening after he was assaulted during an armed robbery Saturday.

The Wilmington Police Department responded to a call at Seahawk SaveMart, 5314 Oleander Drive, Saturday afternoon after two men entered, one armed with a gun, and attempted to rob the store, according to a news release.

The store clerk was assaulted by one of the men and was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the release.
