Marina Del Rey: Bacteria Levels Still Exceed Health Standards

Public health warns swimmers and surfers before swimming at two local beaches this weekend.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health extended its ocean water use warning Friday night near the Santa Monica Pier and Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey.

"The warning has been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested," public health officials said.

People are still urged to be careful playing or swimming in the ocean near Mother's Beach and the Santa Monica Pier.
