Phoenix police identify 39-year-old fatally shot after verbal fight with two men

Phoenix police identified a man fatally shot on Friday night as 39-year-old Ramon Patino.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting near 17th and Atlanta avenues just after 10 p.m. and found Patino with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police spokesperson Sgt. Vincent Cole said.

Witnesses reported seeing Patino in a verbal fight with two men who fled the scene after the shooting, Cole said.
