Growing up I never had a furry pet, but I did always have some sort of creature that either had scales, shells, or gills. From turtles to frogs, to iguanas and chameleons I had them all, much to the chagrin of my mother. I never heard someone scream so loud when Frank, my iguana got out of his cage and surprised her at the top of the staircase, but that's another story.
