There's something about the month of September that feels brand new, and some of Houston's swankiest entertainers are shelling out new tunes to match the season. No matter if you like the beat uptempo, or you prefer something slowed down, this week's releases provided a diverse array of sounds that lead us into a great Friday

Lil Nas X featuring Megan Thee Stallion, "Dolla Sign Slime"

 

The Georgia-bred rapper teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion for "Dolla Sign Slime," a song that appears on Lil Nas X's debut album, Montero

 Kirko Bangz, "Every Other Week"

 

It looks like the "Drank In My Cup" rapper is back. The new song, "Every Other Week," follows his previous release, "PTSD." The two tracks are seemingly opposites, showcasing Kirko's versatility. This new release offers a more upbeat melody, where the Houston rapper displays a fresh sense of vulnerability for his fans. 

Hayes Carll, "She'll Come Back to Me"

 

Country singer Hayes Carll belts out emotional truths on his latest ballad, "She'll Come Back to Me." The Woodlands native channels feelings of loneliness on his latest track. 

Doeman Dyna, "Gold Dz and Oldies"

 

The "Brown Soul" emcee is gearing up for his upcoming album, and shared a new single from the project. Titled "Gold Dz and Oldies," Doeman talks about being the underdog and claiming his rightful spot in the rap game.

Slowly claiming the title of Houston's new freestyle king, Marqus Clae is taking the world by storm with his witty raps and clever punchlines. Clae, known for his organic raps, is gearing up for his debut release.
