Rapper Scarface is on the mend after undergoing a kidney transplant.

Scarface, born Brad Terrence Jordan, was in need of a new organ after his kidneys failed because of COVID-19.

"I fought COVID double bilateral pneumonia—both lungs—and kidney failure in my house," he previously said. "I went back to the hospital. I just got out of the hospital [on April 20] ... I gotta change my entire diet, I gotta do dialysis four days a week, three hours a day. That's taking all my blood out, cleaning it and putting it back in my body."

In October 2020, the Geto Boys rapper asked on Twitter if any volunteers would donate a kidney to him.

Nearly a year later, Scarface got his kidney, which was donated by his son Christopher Jordan.

Rap-A-Lot Records' J. Prince shared a photo of the father and son recovering in a Houston hospital.

"I celebrate with the both of you for being an example of unending love. Chris, a lot of people talk about how much they love your dad, but you have separated yourself from the talkers by your actions," Prince wrote.

In his own Instagram post, Christopher Jordan wrote that the transplant surgery went well and that Scarface is "thriving."

In a conversation with Willie D last year, Scarface urged his fans to take COVID-19 seriously after his fight with the virus.

“Don’t play no games with it,” he said, per Essence. “I haven’t been nowhere. I’ve been in my house. I ain’t been on no planes, I ain’t been in no restaurants ... People out there thinking this s**t is a game? You don’t want to play with this.”
