MIAMI GARDENS — One day after discussing how eager he is to make his Dolphins debut, receiver Will Fuller did not practice for personal reasons Thursday. It is unclear whether he will practice Friday or what his status will be for Sunday's home opener against the Buffalo Bills.

The Dolphins' injury report merely confirms he didn't practice and says "not injury related — personal matter."

The club did not comment further. Coach Brian Flores does not address reporters on Thursdays.

Fuller ranks fourth on the Dolphins after signing a free-agent contract worth $10.5 million this offseason.

Will Fuller addresses reporters Wednesday.

He missed the opener at New England last weekend while serving out the last of his six-game NFL suspension for violating the substance-abuse policy.

"I tried to learn from a mistake that I made," Fuller said Wednesday. "Not taking football for granted. I wanted to be out there, helping my team back. I'm happy to be back."

Fuller missed most of training camp with an injury.

The Dolphins hoped that for the Bills game, they'd have their full complement of starting wide receivers for the first time with Fuller lining up with DeVante Parker and Jaylen Waddle.

Fuller, 27, is coming off a season in Houston in which he had career highs in receptions (53), yards (879), average (16.6) and touchdowns (eight).
