Trae Tha Truth and Hot Wheels created the first-ever Slab Hot Wheels toy.

While Travis Scott may be the unanimous king of collaborations, and Houston's “Hometown Hero” according to Drake, there’s one person that may have him beat. Last week, rapper Trae Tha Truth announced his latest partnership with Hot Wheels to create the first-ever "slab" Hot Wheel toy.

Short for, "slow, loud, and banging," a slab is a popular, Southern car style that emerged in Houston’s car scene in the 1980s. These decked-out vehicles are often remixes of older Cadillacs, Buicks, and Lincoln’s. Signature features include candy gloss paint, a heavy bass sound system, neon lights in the trunk that showcase the driver's flair, and most importantly its exaggerated custom-made tire rims, better known as “swangas.”

Now, the car’s shrunken version will make the perfect collector’s item courtesy of Trae Tha Truth and Hot Wheels. Together, the Mattel brand and the Houston emcee conceived a 1964 Lincoln Convertible. The toy's packaging spotlights the city's skyline at nightfall, along with a photo of Trae Tha Truth, and his autograph.

In a post on social media, the rapper shared his enthusiasm with his fans. "This is one of my biggest achievements!! @HotWheelsOfficial has officially created the first S.L.A.B. Edition Hot Wheel."

"This is a collector’s dream! It’s even crazier for me to have my own toy reppin Houston," Trae continues. "I'm excited to announce a very unique opportunity to own a truly unique and highly limited Hot Wheels vehicle, and at the same time helping those in need!!!"

According to the post, only three of the special edition Hot Wheels toys will be made for purchase. And in true Hometown Hero fashion, the hand-painted toys will be placed for auction, with the proceeds going towards vulnerable communities here in the city.

Fans who want a chance to purchase the exclusive Hot Wheel can find the three up for grabs at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in Spring, Texas on Saturday, September 18.
