EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – El Paso police say an argument between two men in the Northeast led to a shooting death of a 26-year-old.

EPPD says they responded to a disturbance around 2:44 a.m. on the 8600 block of Robert Drive in response to shots fired. Officers found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds and had died.

Police say they learned of a 28-year-old suspect’s location while responding to the shooting. They then called on the suspect to leave their home.

“After a few moments, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident,” a news release says.

Investigators say they will continue to document the crime scene, collect evidence and interview possible witnesses. The suspect’s name has not been released but police say it will become public once they face formal charges.
