ORANGE COUNTY, FLA. — UPDATE: A man was arrested on Wednesday after another man was shot while he was driving home from work, deputies said.

Deputies said Guillermo Hewitt, the man’s coworker, is facing first-degree murder charges.

No other details were released.

A man was driving home from work when he was shot from a car following him, according to Orange County deputies.

Just after 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, deputies said the 34-year-old man was followed by a someone with whom he has had an ongoing problem who could be his coworker.

The man said he heard shots fired and was shot while he was in the car.

Deputies said the man drove to a Publix shopping center at South John Young Parkway and Americana Boulevard where he started calling co-workers and family, who called 911.

The man was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert.

Deputies said the suspect is likely known to the man.
