DGR Engineering currently has offices at 2909 E. 57th St. but will build a 16,000-square-foot office in eastern Sioux Falls near Veterans Parkway.

A local engineering company is building a new office building in eastern Sioux Falls.

DGR Engineering, which currently has offices in southern Sioux Falls and Rock Rapids, Iowa, will be starting construction on the new 16,000-square-foot building at Dawley Farms near Veterans Parkway and 26th Street in late 2021.

The move comes after DGR outgrew its southern Sioux Falls offices, at 2909 E. 57th St. The new location will more than double its office space, according to a news release.

“We are excited to be in a position to need additional space,” said Trent Bruce, vice president and Sioux Falls office manager, in the news release. “We are thankful for our many clients in the region that have favored us with the opportunity to work with them on their projects, which has led to a steady growth in our employee numbers.”

Legacy Development & Consulting Company, LLC is the development consultant for the project. Hoogendoorn Construction, Inc. based in Canton will serve as the general contractor, and Architecture Incorporated of Sioux Falls is the architect on the project.

A building permit was filed earlier in the month for the project with a building valuation at $4.3 million.

“Continuing our growth as a company by constructing new office space for future additions to our team in Sioux Falls will allow us to continue to provide trusted professional solutions to meet our clients’ needs” Bruce said in the news release.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2022, with DGR moving offices by late 2022.
