Driver hospitalized after car was shot multiple times, crashed

MADISON, Wis. — A driver is recovering in the hospital after his car was shot multiple times before crashing early Saturday morning.

Madison Police responded to reports of shots fired and a crash at the 3800 block of Portage Rd. around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police found the vehicle in the middle of the road, and the driver was standing nearby. The driver, a 27-year-old male, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While investigating the vehicle, police found multiple signs of bullet damage to the drivers’ side of the vehicle. No information about the suspect has been found at this time.
