2 killed and 2 injured in overnight NYC shootings

Two people were killed and two others hurt in four separate shootings across New York City overnight, police said.

A 57-year-old man was shot in the face in East Harlem at 1:35 a.m. Saturday, near East 115th Street and First Avenue, where authorities said the unconscious victim was found. The man was pronounced dead at NYC Health and Hospital/Metropolitan. No arrests have been made.

A little more than four hours later, at 5:43 a.m., gunfire erupted in Brooklyn, where man was shot in the head at the Bush-Clinton Playground on Henry Street, police said. The victim, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene, and no arrests were immediately made.

Two other men were shot within 15 minutes in separate incidents in Brooklyn late Friday, police said.

In Crown Heights, a 27-year-old man was shot in the right leg and right foot by an unknown assailant on Eastern Parkway and Pacific Street at about 10:40 p.m. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said. At around 10:55 p.m., a 31-year-old man was shot in the left elbow and stomach on Grafton Street, near Howard Avenue in Brownsville, authorities said. The wounded man was transported to Kings County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
