Are electric golf carts allowed on the Wilmington Riverwalk?

They are not allowed, according to the city of Wilmington.

“We treat our trails and greenways as linear parks. With the exception of security patrols by (police) on the Cross-City Trail with their gator and the use of work-mans for maintenance by city workers, there should not be any motorized vehicles on the Riverwalk,” says Jennifer R. Dandron, city's media manager.

“If anyone has a concern (or) question, they should contact the city and we’ll be happy to talk to them,” she said.
