LAPD North Hollywood Officers Arrest Suspect In Reported Robbery

The alleged heist was Thursday on Atoll Avenue and police seized two guns, a switchblade and $17,000 in cash and narcotics from the suspect.

LOS ANGELES —Los Angeles Police Department Officers from the North Hollywood Community Police Station arrested a robbery suspect Thursday night and seized guns, cash and drugs from the suspect, a spokesman for the LAPD said.

According to the LAPD, at about 10:55 p.m. Thursday, the department received a call about a robbery in the 7300 block of Atoll Avenue.

LAPD North Hollywood officers Vincenzo Averaimo and Carlos Amaya were on the scene, and they took a suspect into custody in connection to the alleged robbery, a police spokesman said.

The department said the officers also found that the suspect was in possession of two handguns, one stolen and one unregistered, a switchblade and $17,000 in cash and narcotics. The items were booked into evidence, according to the LAPD.

The LAPD put a photo on social media of the evidence seized in the case, and the department thanked officers Averaimo and Amaya for their work.

"Excellent work from these two officers keeping the community safe," the LAPD said in the social media post.
