Man dead, another injured in shooting on Brooklyn street: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One man died and another was injured in a shooting on a Brooklyn street Friday.

Police said they were called to 331 Clifton Pl. in Bed-Stuy just after 5:30 p.m. Friday.

When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound to the chest and a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the buttocks nearby, police said.

EMS transported 23-year-old Jermaine Hill-Cross to a hospital, but he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Officials said the 42-year-old was transported in stable condition. According to the Daily News, police don’t believe he was an intended target.

Five shell casings were found at the scene, according to the Daily News.

No arrests have been made in the case, police said.
