SEE IT: 'Heavy fire' destroys vacant Louisville apartment building, damages three others

A vacant apartment building in the 2200 block of W. Market Street was destroyed and three other buildings damaged late Monday in a "heavy fire," the Louisville Fire Department said.

Firefighters arrived at the scene just after 11:30 p.m. and found a vacant two-story residential apartment building on fire. The fire spread to three nearby buildings, according to Louisville Fire, one of which was occupied. 

The building where the fire was centered was a "total loss," and the other buildings sustained "significant" to "moderate" damage.

No one was injured, but three people were displaced, the depatment said. Louisville Fire's arson unit is investigating.
