A 5-year-old boy was wounded after shots rang out Tuesday night in the Newburg area.A spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department said the shooting was reported around 8:45 p.m. in the 4600 block of East Indian Trail, blocks from Indian Trail and Poplar Level Road.While few details were released, police said the boy was found with a gunshot wound to his hand. He was taken to Children's Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.The police department said 6th Division officers are handling the investigation. No arrests have been made in the case right now.Additional details were not released.
