27-year-old killed in shooting at gas station in Birmingham

One person is dead after a shooting at a gas station on East Lake Boulevard in Birmingham.

Just after 5:00 P.M. on August 3, 2021, 27-year-old Clifford Grayson Jr of Birmingham was found in the driver's seat of a vehicle that had hit another vehicle at a gas pump. He died at the scene.

A person of interest was taken into custody without incident.

At this point, the Birmingham Police Department believes there was an argument between Grayson and the person of interest before shots were fired.
