Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's family is set to grow, he announced Tuesday. He and his wife, Makenze, are expecting a baby.

Cameron wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of the couple holding a sonogram that they "are overjoyed to announce that Baby Boy Cameron will be joining our family this winter."

"We are so thankful for this blessing, and we can’t wait to meet our son," he continued. It's the first child for the couple, who married almost exactly one year ago.

The announcement comes amid a kind-of mini-baby boom among Kentucky politicians.

State treasurer Allison Ball gave birth to her second child, a girl named Marigold Sophia Swan, in late July, and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman also welcomed a daughter in early 2020.

And former state Sen. Charles Booker, currently running for U.S. Senate, is expecting soon with his wife.
