Hartford police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left a man injured Tuesday morning.
The shooting occurred near 56 Judson Street around 11 a.m., police said. They responded to the area after the shooting was captured by the department’s gunshot detection system.
Upon arriving to the scene, officers found a Honda Accord that crashed into a telephone pole, police said.
Inside the vehicle, a man in his 20s was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital and the injury is considered non-life threatening.
Detectives confirmed that the gunfire came from a Nissan, and they were able to track the suspect vehicle near Bedford Street, police said.
Police took two individuals into custody in connection to the shooting, but will not reveal more information until they are formally charged, Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
