mhm. Tell us about the local art scene. John Bowles is a great musician and he's an owner of Resa Cafe right here on Sutter Street, literally my favorite place to go is brunch on Badlands after a full work week. The only thing that I can think about is having some avocado toast and watching some drag queens. There's lots of great artists up in the foothills here. Let's see. One that I love going to is Nicholson van Alten a glass in North Auburn. Um they do great pieces, big, small in between. I love going there. It's fun to watch them. Mm Yeah. Mhm. Yeah. My parents have been doing this for about 40 years in this very studio. They built this studio themselves, they studied with us, we're able to do some of our work. But then when they teamed up together, they've really developed their own style, which is just fantastic. What I've been best friends since second grade, we're both very different, which is good. They're not usually the same eyes that we have and that's that's what's a fun of violence is to see somebody else from a different point of view. Uh We actually just finished a sculpture called inner landscapes. One beautiful example of us combining um are solid sculptural work with the blown part of it and the base there was made by Alana's dad. Black walnut. I think it really elevates the peace. Been coming out to Nicholson's balloon glass for probably close to 20 years. Every year I come out and buy several peace for Christmas presents to give to friends. Always like making the captain because it's fun doing. I like doing a lot of tedious work. Mhm. My favorite piece that they do memorial hearts. When someone passes, they take a few of the cremains and they put them in the heart so that it looks like shooting stars. They're beautiful. They sell all over the world. And you think while we are living in an area where artists are producing such wonderful glassworks glass has some very specific properties that have to be dealt with a high class, whatever ideas they come up with, they have to figure out the actual steps to create it in hot glass ready every day is different, every piece is different. And if you lose your piece then you just have to pick up and move forward. So it's a good life lesson to learning from them. Being able to kind of create this space where you can be artistic and also have it, support yourself, support your life is something that we really want to kind of bring to the younger generation and show people that it is possible. And hopefully, you know, keep the business alive for your generations to come ready. Yeah.
