Following the announcement from the NY Attorney General Letitia James stating that the investigating probe into Gov. Cuomo revealed he sexually harassed almost a dozen past and current staffers, Albany County DA David Soares has released a statement.

In short, Soares stated that he plans to request any investigative material that the State Attorney General's Office had acquired in their 5 month investigation.

“Along with the public, today we have been made aware of the final independent report from AG Letitia James’ office regarding Governor Cuomo’s conduct as they relate to violations of civil harassment statutes. We will be formally requesting investigative materials obtained by the AG’s Office, and we welcome any victim to contact our office with additional information. As this matter is developing and we are reviewing the document released by the Attorney General today, we will refrain from any additional public comment at this time regarding the status of the ongoing criminal investigation by our office.”

We will be formally requesting investigative materials obtained by the AG’s Office, and we welcome any victim to contact our office with additional information.

Meanwhile, the governor has continued to state that many accusations are either misconstrued or simply did not happen.

He released a video statement in which he said he has cooperated with the investigation, and with the review now out, he is calling for people to look at what he says are the facts.

He also apologized to one victim, Charlotte Bennett, for what he says was bringing his “personal experience” into the workplace.
