SPENCER COUNTY, Ind (WEHT) – Indiana State Troopers rescued a baby deer that was being kept illegally on a property in Spencer County on Monday.
Officers attempting to serve a warrant found the deer and transported it to an animal rescue. Officers say the deer will be cared for and then released back into its natural habitat.
ISP say the suspect did not have a permit to own the deer.
