OTTUMWA, Iowa — A boil order issued for Ottumwa's south side residents has been lifted.
The advisory was announced earlier this week after a major water main break was reported over the weekend.
It happened on Church Street just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday. City crews say a large transmission main broke, causing a wide area of households to experience low water pressure.
Ottumwa Water Works conducted a series of water tests before lifting the boil advisory Tuesday.
