Council Bluffs residents may experience delays in garbage pickup due to staffing shortages

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KPTM) — Council Bluffs residents are and still could be facing delays in garbage pickup due to staffing shortages at Council Bluffs Solid Waste Collection, according to a Facebook post from the City's Municipal Government page.

The City of Council Bluffs is asking residents to still put trash out on normal days, and residents should leave the trash there until it has been collected, said the post.

There will also be "different style" trucks helping to keep up-to-date with garbage collections, said the post.

Omaha is not experiencing any delays in trash services, according to a tweet from Wasteline Omaha.

The tweet reminds Council Bluffs residents to report missed trash pickup as soon as possible.
