SHERIFF: Nebraska man killed in workplace accident

Authorities say a 23-year-old man was killed in a workplace accident in eastern Nebraska.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities say a 23-year-old man was killed in a workplace accident in eastern Nebraska.

The Madison County’s Sheriff’s Office says Bairon Neftali Carreto Perez, of Columbus, was helping transport large crates of live chickens when a crate slipped off a forklift and crushed him.

The accident happened Monday afternoon in Lindsay.

Paramedics performed advanced life saving measures in an ambulance and hospital but they were unsuccessful.
