WEST HAVEN, CT — (Pictured): Frank J. Corso, a co-grand marshal of the city’s 2021 Memorial Day parade, receives a citation in honor of his 100th birthday from Mayor Nancy R. Rossi during a family gathering at Biagetti’s Restaurant on Saturday.

Corso, who has lived most of his 99-plus years in West Haven, was honored as part of the community’s centennial celebration.

Rossi recognized Corso as “among the greatest Americans who have played a critical role in shaping a remarkable generation and in preserving our liberties through times of calm and crisis, especially while serving our country in the Army Air Forces in World War II.”
