NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released surveillance video of a man being forced out of his wheelchair during a violent robbery on a Bronx street over the weekend.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, in front of 2985 3rd Avenue in the South Bronx, officials said.
The 36-year-old victim was in a wheelchair when two suspects forcibly removed his cellphone and approximately $100 dollars then threw him to the ground and struck him several times before fleeing the scene, according to police.
The victim sustained a laceration to the head but refused medical attention.
