The Canine Carnival is back this year after the event was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The event is in its 11th year and is set to return to Jamesville Beach Park on September 18.

It's scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 50 rescue organizations will be on site along with music and food for purchase.

Staffworks, Central and Southern New York's largest independently owned regional staffing services company, has signed on to be the 2021 title sponsor of our very own Weather Authority Chief Meteorologist Wayne Mahar for Wayne's Canine Carnival.

Staffworks was established in 2005 at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. More than $19M in Staffworks funds supports nonprofit organizations giving direct care and services for at-risk animals in regional communities.

To ensure safety during the pandemic, an online pre-sale cashless donation system has been initiated.

Tickets are available pre-sale here.

When arriving to the event, you should have your ticket ready with the QR code displayed.

The $5 admission ticket is a full donation towards the Canine Carnival and 100 percent of the proceeds collected from the tickets will go back to local animal rescues.
