Man dies after getting hit by train at Dixie Highway and Pages Lane, Louisville police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man died early Tuesday morning after he was hit by a train at Dixie Highway and East Pages Lane in the southwestern area of the city, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Third Division officers responded about 3:14 a.m. Tuesday to the report of a man struck by the train near Hillsdale Baptist Church, LMPD spokeswoman Beth Ruoff said.

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, Ruoff said.

Per department policy, Ruoff said LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
