On Tuesday, Aug. 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the High Sierra Neighborhood in Billings Heights is holding a National Night Out event on the lawn between WyndStone and Atonement Lutheran Church at 1290 Sierra Granda Blvd.
There will be food trucks, inflatables for the children, emergency response vehicles, and guest speakers Billings Police Chief Rich St. John and Ward 2 Billings City Council member.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work.
This is a night for our nation to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity," National Project Coordinator Matt Peskin said. "National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement. When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen.”
