Syracuse Police to host 'National Night Out' community event

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department will be hosting a "National Night Out" community event on Tuesday, August 3rd.

The event will be at Kirk Park from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In addition to the Syracuse Police Department, officers from other agencies like Camillus, Geddes, and Manlius Police Departments will be in attendance. As well as the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office and NY State Police.

There will be music and entertainment, as well as concessions for purchase.

"National Night Out" hopes to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

Millions of neighbors take part in "National Night Out" in communities from all across the country on the first Tuesday in August.
