RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A firefighter injured while battling a house fire Monday afternoon in South Reno is now "resting comfortably."
At 4:55 p.m. the Reno Fire Department received a call about a home on Rivolli Court that caught fire.
One person was in the home when the fire broke out, they made it out safely.
RFD then continued to fight the flames heading into Monday evening.
Crews kept the fire contained to the attic and roof area of the home, preventing it from spreading to other rooms or nearby properties.
The only injury coming from the fire was to a firefighter who was transported to Renown, the department now says the first responder is resting comfortably and doing well.
As of 9 p.m. Monday evening, crews were still on scene not fighting the blaze but boarding up the home for the owner.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
