CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Yeager Airport officials said the airport received a call regarding an active shooter threat.
Officials said in a news release they received a call about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
The news release said airport workers took immediate action and notified all local law enforcement agencies and airport tenants.
Investigators determined that it was not a viable threat, but there will be additional law enforcement officers at the airport for the foreseeable future.
Yeager Airport is currently open and all flights are running on time.
