Catherine Street shooting now being investigated as homicide

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A Sunday evening shooting on Catherine Street in the city of Albany is now being investigated as a homicide.

The 19-year-old victim, now identified as Jordan Latimer, has died from his injuries.

A 22-year-old victim of that same shooting remains at Albany Med Monday night, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police believe the victims and the suspects know each other - but no arrests for the shooting itself have yet been made.

However, during the course of this investigation, police did find these two loaded handguns on a man at Albany Med.

Nasier Young is facing two possession charges.

Police want to hear from anyone with information.
