Releasing their self-titled debut album in 1977, Thorogood and the Destroyers remain best known for their song "Bad to the Bone" from their 1982 full-length of the same name, which appeared numerous times in film and television over the years. Other popular tracks of theirs include "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer," "I Drink Alone" and "Get a Haircut," with the band also scoring a platinum album with 1986's "Live."

Most recently, Thorogood and the Destroyers released the reissue "Live in Boston, 1982: The Complete Concert" last year, with the group's latest studio album being 2011's "2120 South Michigan Ave," and Thorogood releasing the 2017 solo record "Party of One." The band previously played Sarasota in 2002 at Robarts Arena, and in recent years has frequently featured Tampa Bay singer-songwriter/guitarist and former Anna Maria Island resident Damon Fowler as an opening act.
