(KMJ) – The Fresno Police Department is now investigating its 43rd homicide of the year after a 25-year-old, shot last week, dies from her injuries

Around 10:45 p.m. July 27th, investigators say 25-year-old Jacqueline Flores was shot in the head while she was parked inside her vehicle at Kearney Boulevard and Thorne Avenue.  But, her six-year-old daughter, who was also inside the vehicle, was not injured.  Flores was rushed to CRMC in grave condition.  But, Fresno Police say she died from her wound Friday.

Investigators believe Flores was not the intended target of this shooting.  And think this was a case of mistaken identity.  They now ask anyone with information on this shooting to call Valley Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
