Homeschooling has increased dramatically in the past year, according to Monica Hoy, president of the Reno County Homeschool Connection. And because of this, there is a growing number of people in need of programs for homeschoolers.

Reno County Homeschool Connection is launching a new academy of arts in Hutchinson. The academy will have programs that are exclusively for homeschoolers, including all levels of ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz and modern. The group, which will begin the academy on Aug. 24, is also offering boxing, wrestling and private music lessons. They are also starting an orchestra.

The academy already has 50 dancers, 28 boxers, 75 students in private music lessons and 18 wrestlers signed up. More information is available at Reno County Homeschool Connection.

"So our rosters are full this year already," Hoy said.
