Mansfield police cleared out an apartment building early Monday morning when they found a drug lab in an apartment.
Police said officers and firefighters were called to Fulton Place at about 1:20 a.m. to provide medical assistance to a man who was acting erratically.
Police found a drug manufacturing lab in his apartment.
The building was evacuated, and a hazmat team was called in. State police specialists were assisting Mansfield detectives in the investigation.
"Investigators discovered a scene with specific ingredients that were consistent with attempting to manufacture an unlawful substance. Whether or not the individual was successful in that endeavor will be determined at a later date through testing," Mansfield police said in a statement. "A quantity of the end product was seized and sent for testing at the State Lab.
