One critical after bar fights escalates into gunfire

HOUSTON – A man is in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen during a fight outside a bar on Houston’s North Side, police said.

According to officers, shortly after midnight Monday, several people were fighting outside the Puro Norte Botanero nightclub on East Little York Road when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The victim was taken to the hospital by private automobile. The suspect fled the scene.
