Northbound I-25 closed for crash near downtown Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- Officers were on the scene Sunday afternoon at a single vehicle crash on I-25 northbound at the Bijou exit.

CSPD confirmed that one person died in the accident after swerving off the road and crashing into the barrier on the side of the highway. Officers say the man was suffering a medical issue that caused him to crash.

All traffic traveling northbound was being diverted at the Cimarron exit, but lanes are now reopen.
