Update on 8/12 at 5:11 a.m.:
The Jasper County Sheriff's Office says the man wanted in connection a deadly hit-and-run has been arrested. Charles Lamont Stevenson was taken into custody on Wednesday.
He is accused of a hit-and-run as well as Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent.

A Ridgeland woman's body was found on the side of Highway 336 early Saturday morning.
According to Jasper County Coroner Willie P. Aiken, the woman, who has been identified as 27-year-old Markeshia DuPont, was found shortly after 6 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to "injuries sustained."
The Jasper County Sheriff's Department said at this time, it appears this may have been a hit and run. They added they are assisting the South Carolina Highway Patrol until they get an official autopsy report.
