Sheriff's office identifies victim in Lincoln Heights homicide, arrest made

Police have identified the man who died in Lincoln Heights on Sunday morning.

Deputies were dispatched to Jackson Street, near Leggett Street for reports of multiple people injured or deceased. 

Deputies arrived at approximately 3:47 a.m. and found one man injured. The Woodlawn Fire Department responded and found the man dead. He was identified as Bruce Nixon. He was 53 years old.

Nixon died as a result of blunt force trauma, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Jamol Sherman Morris was arrested around 10:45 a.m. Sunday and was named a suspect by the sheriff.

Both the victim and suspect reside in Lincoln Heights.
