Woman found dead after Kendall house fire

Kendall, NY (WHAM) - Saturday, a woman was found dead after a house fire in Orleans County.

Orleans County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a house fire in Kendall just before 5 a.m.

Crews responded to Peter Smith Road in minutes and found the home fully engulfed in flames. They were unable to get into the house right away due to the large fire.

Two adults and one child made it out safely. Firefighters found the body of 73-year-old Judy Snyder in a bedroom hallway.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
