RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Hot August Nights will kick off in Virginia City Friday, July 30.
The events make up the world's largest car show, returning to northern Nevada for the 34th year in 2021.
Show-n-Shine, live entertainment and a poker walk are just some of the events hitting the historic mining town of Virginia City on July 30 and 31.
There will be a second kick off for the Reno/Sparks area starting on Monday, August 2 at the Peppermill resort and casino.

The City of Sparks announced road closures for the events from August 2-9 as follows:
Monday, August 2 at 12:30 a.m. – Monday, August 9 at 6:00 a.m.
The City of Sparks also asks attendees to be advised of road/sidewalk closures due to construction on Victorian Plaza Circle West (14th Street).
Cruise road closure information Wednesday, August 4, through Saturday, August 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
