The Chocolate Bar's Montrose location is closing it's doors.

houston's premier chocolate factory The Chocolate Bar announced that their Montrose location will be no longer serving tasty treats.

The sweet tooth emporium's original location, 1835 West Alabama has been a staple in Montrose since 2000, and the owners have made the decision to close its doors while building out its next location.

The Chocolate Bar has been in the Houston community for over two decades, serving homemade ice creams, cakes, cookies, and chocolate in all forms and flavors. In the meantime, the dessert bar will consolidate staff and sweet treats in the Rice Village store, located at 2521 University Boulevard until their move is complete.

The bar will announce details on its new flagship location and expansion to other neighborhoods around the city in the months to come. The Montrose location will close this Sunday, August 1.

In a statement on their website, The Chocolate Bar says, "Thanks for the sweet memories, Montrose!"
