San Angelo police find body of missing hiker

SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo police have found the body of a missing hiker in San Angelo state park, according to a press release.

Darren Keith Corley, 62, was last seen on Wednesday July 28th, 2021 walking near the park. His family reported him missing the following morning. Corely's car was located at Burkett Trail Head in the state park. A search party was assembled Thursday and Corey was located at approximately 11am on Friday morning in a heavily wooded area of the park.

The search for Corely has been the third ground and air search conducted this year.

Foul play is not suspected to be a factor in the case. KTXS will continue to keep you updated as more information is released.
