Restaurant Inspections: Mizner Park restaurant, five other eateries in the county close briefly

Taqueria Guerrero was one of six restaurants in Palm Beach County that had some inspection troubles last week. The eatery made the necessary corrections and is open for business.

Six Palm Beach County restaurants were shut down briefly last week after failing state restaurant inspections.

Boca Raton restaurant

Villagio At Boca, at Mizner Park, Boca Raton, was ordered closed after an inspection July 20.

Inspectors found one high-priority violation, one intermediate violation and one basic violation.

The high-priority violation was the presence of small, flying insects.

Because several of the eateries in that section of the complex have had similar problems, the inspector suggested that the owner of the mall examine the plumbing.

The restaurant corrected all of the violations and reopened the next day on July 21.

Delray Beach restaurant

Eathai, at 1832 S. Federal Highway, Delray Beach, was ordered closed after an inspection July 23.

Inspectors found two high-priority violations and two basic violations.

The high-priority violations included raw fish stored above produce.

The restaurant corrected all of the high priority violations and one of the two basic violations and reopened the next day on July 24.

Lake Worth restaurant

Gina Restaurant, 1108 S. Dixie Highway, Lake Worth, was ordered closed after an inspection July 20.

Inspectors found two high-priority violations and one intermediate violation.

The high-priority violations included pest activity.

The restaurant corrected all of the high priority violations and reopened the next day on July 21.

Palm Springs restaurant

Taqueria Guerrero, 3585 S. Congress Ave., Palm Springs, was ordered closed after an inspection July 21.

Inspectors found one high-priority violation and five intermediate violations.

The high-priority violations included the presence of insects.

The restaurant corrected all of the violations and reopened on July 23.

West Palm Beach restaurant

La Perrada Del Gordo, 2650 Military Trail, West Palm Beach, was ordered closed after an inspection July 20.

Inspectors found four high-priority violations and three intermediate violations.

The high-priority violations included the presence of small, flying insects.

The restaurant corrected all of the violations and reopened the next day on July 21.

Restaurant Y Pupuseria Las Flores, 1941 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, was ordered closed after an inspection July 21.

Inspectors found five high-priority violations, four intermediate violations and three basic violations.

The high-priority violations included food and ice received from an unapproved source and small flying insects.

The restaurant corrected three of the four high priority violations, all the intermediate violations and one of the three basic violations. They reopened the next day on July 22.
